Strobilanthus (Sahachara), Dry ginger (Nagara) and Deodar (Devadara) are prime 'Vata-hara' drugs.
Aggravated vata in the body is characterised by aches and pains, generalised edema, rigidity in joints and overall dryness. Massage with Sahacharadi taila on a regular basis pacifies vata.
The nourishing base of sesame oil and castor imparts warmth and unctousness to the skin, joints and deeper tissues. The penetrating quality of castor oil is especially benficial in drawing out deep tissue inflammation.
Massage with the oil stimulates blood circulation, helping to deliver the medicinal properties of the taila to deeper tissues.
It is used very effectively to support the treatment of palsies, muscle wasting, nerve debility, muscular pain, cramps and aches. -
